We recently reviewed and gave away a Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook as part of our 100th post anniversary.  As part of the giveaway, we asked you, our readers, what would be your dream laptop?

Erica Kuschel has a Macbook that was pulled off a table by a Great Dane and now won’t charge.

Binh-Minh Thai sent us this photo of his son holding his Dell Inspiron 1545.  I’d be sad if I had to travel with that beast too.

Now, it’s a no brainer that we all want faster, with more storage space, battery life in spades, all in a small package. But what else?

My dream laptop would be as light as a feather but would have at least an 18 or 20 inch screen but would fold up really small, it would be awesome for editing videos and it would have a big sticker of Dave and Dustin’s faces on the back of it haha

Speaking of folding, reader Robert Dziobon wants to take thin & light to the nth degree

My dream laptop would be one that folds like a piece of paper so that I can fit it in my pocket. The battery would self-charging so I’d never have to plug it in. (this technology exists)

Travel blogger Raymond Walsh wants unusual accessories

My dream laptop would have lasers and a nightlight. And kitten videos playing 24/7!

while Ashley Reid wants less cute and more productivity

My dream laptop would have the longest lasting batter ever, a giant screen, be super durable because i am clumsy, and be lightning fast while i’m playing games or editing video! It would also nag me to work harder on my writing instead of distracting me with cute kitteh videos.

My dream laptop would be solar-powered and have international adapters. It would also have a magnetic surface on the cover so I could put colorful magnets on it!

Travel Blogger Katherine Kay wants to take photos and fight bad guys:

My dream laptop would be bright blue, solar powered, able to pick up wifi anywhere in the world, have MASSIVE storage size to fit all the photos I take, lightweight and have a voice like Kit the car from Knight Rider so can answer questions and help me fight crime – and avoid getting into trouble when abroad!

my dream laptop would weigh under 3 lbs and have a 22in screen, 16GB of RAM and a 3TB HDD

My dream laptop has unlimited battery, never needs software updates and still works when you spill coffee or food on it Oh, it is also weightless

My dream laptop is lightweight but powerful, able to hold an infinite amount of TV shows and movies for entertainment, and most importantly PINK!!!

THE DREAM LAPTOP: Easy to carry, huge storage capacity, awesome graphics that will let me play games and edit photos, tons of memory and mus be colored PURPLE.

Finally, blogger Alouise Dittrick quoted the Simpsons for huge bonus points:

There’s an episode of The Simpsons, from back in the day, where Homer builds his own car which is"power[ful] like a gorilla, yet soft and yielding like a Nerf ball" that’s my dream laptop. Something strong, and durable, as well as lightweight, compact, and fast with a great processor. If the laptop has fins and plays La Cucaracha, like The Homer, then that would be icing on the cake.

So there you have it manufacturers.  We don’t want Mac vs PC nonsense, we want out 22” pink laptops to fold up into our pockets,

oh, and fight crime. 

Until then, you can pick up a Dell XPS 13, which is pretty awesome, but doesn’t fight crime, for under $1000 (check prices)
